How to Choose Cabinets That Actually Hold Up in a Bucks County Kitchen
If you’re remodeling a kitchen in Yardley, Newtown, Doylestown—or anywhere around Bucks County or Philadelphia—you’ve probably hit that moment: “Why are there a million cabinet brands… and which ones are actually worth it?” You've already been through the “best cabinet” lists online, seen the hot takes, felt the vibes, but are unclear what are sponsored and just trying to sell vs. legitimate information. So we built something better.
The Kitchen Me Now (KMN) Scorecard is a no-fluff ranking of cabinet lines up to the top 100, based on what actually matters: construction, performance, and how they hold up once real people start using them. And yes, you can download the full list here and judge for yourself, but keep reading to get the top 10 and information about how we created the list.
What Is the KMN Score? (Kitchen Me Now Score - No PhD Required)
Playing favorites doesn't do anyone any favors, so we measured. Each cabinet line is scored from 0–10 across the things that actually impact your day-to-day life:
-
Materials quality
-
Craftsmanship
-
Construction integrity
-
Customization options
-
Door styles, finishes, and color selection
-
Customer service
-
Lead times
-
Supply chain reliability
-
Real homeowner feedback across social media, Google Reviews, Houzz reviews, etc.
-
Price vs. value
Then we group similar brands using a clustering model (using math, not gut feelings) into performance tiers. From there, each brand gets a final KMN Score (0–100) based on consistency and reliability.
Higher score = fewer surprises during and after install.
How to Read the Score
-
80+ Luxury / Custom - These cabinets are built to last decades. They define the “do it once, do it right” category.
-
70–79 - High-Performing Semi-Custom. The sweet spot for most homeowners—great quality without going full luxury.
-
60–69 - Solid Value Lines; smart choices when budget matters but you still want something that holds up.
-
Below 60 - Budget / Stock - these are fast, affordable, and functional, but you should know what you're getting. Construction and materials vary in these cabinet lines and customer service and speed can be critical decision considerations.
A few key terms that are also important to undrstand as we dig into the details:
Why We Carry So Many Cabinet Lines (And Don’t Apologize for It)
We’re not here to push one brand.
We’re here to get your kitchen right.
At Design Me Now + Kitchen Me Now, we intentionally carry a range of the lines on this scorecard so we can match your priorities—not force you into ours. While we have some brands that are widely available, we tend to select lines that match our own values - smaller businesses, non-conglomerate, privately held organizations with unique qualities who have good to amazing quality and strong support for their dealers because customer service matters to us - a lot!
How to Consider this list based on your priorities:
If You Care About Longevity...
We’ll point you toward high-scoring custom lines like DeWils, Pennville, Wood-Mode, and Covered Bridge. Think dovetail drawers that are sanded and finished just like the rest of the cabinet, solid hardwoods, premium materials and construction with finishes that don’t quit after five years.
If You Need Speed...
Not every project has six months to wait. We offer fast-turn options like Forevermark, Green Forest, Tribeca, Ocean, and others that can keep your timeline moving.
If Your Space Isn’t “Standard” (Because No One’s Is)...
Our semi-custom and custom lines — Shiloh, DeWils Fine Cabinetry, Eclipse, Ocean, and others let us tweak sizing, finishes, and details so your kitchen actually fits your life.
If You’re Watching Budget...
We’ll help you mix smart - invest where it matters to avoid regrets down the road, but save where it doesn’t. From $ to $$$$, there is always a way to get a kitchen that looks high-end without the financial blow up.
What You Get Working With Us
You’re not guessing from a screen. You’re walking into a showroom, opening drawers, comparing finishes, and having someone walk you through:
-
What holds up (and what doesn’t)
-
What’s worth upgrading (and what isn’t)
-
How long things actually take
-
Where people regret their choices
No fluff. No surprises. No “we’ll figure it out later.”
Ready to Choose Cabinets Without the Headache?
Here is the full list of 100 cabinet lines. Note that some of the companies in the list may have multiple lines that span custom and semi-custom - for example, Covered Bridge Cabinetry has custom, semi-custom and entry level lines. If you find an interesting company, there will be more information available through a dealer or that company's customer service and website. We encourage you to do your research. You can easily down load the list, compare it, bring it with you! We’ll help you narrow it down to the right fit for your space, your budget, and your timeline—without turning it into a full-time job.
The Philly / Bucks Availability notes mean exactly as they sound, and it’s one of the most useful notes for anyone shopping in the Yardley, Bucks County, or Philadelphia area. It tells you that this cabinet brand has good, reliable dealers or showrooms right here in our region.
That means:
-
You can see the cabinets in person (not just online photos).
-
Local dealers carry samples, can order the exact style/finish you want, and handle delivery + installation.
-
Service and support after purchase are faster and easier (repairs, warranty claims, or questions don’t have to go through a distant call center).
-
Kitchen Me Now and Design Me Now already work with multiple of these dealers, so we can get you pricing, lead times, and samples quickly.
Some with Dealer Network or Regional Support may be available, but not locally. That said, if you are looking for exclusivity, the trip to New York City will certainly be worth your while if you're considering an exclusive line.
This shows the top 10 cabinet lines, but you can click to download the full Top 100 Cabinet Lines for 2026. Naturally, the top 10 have a higher price tag associated with them, but there are 90 more that don't - download the full list and see what you find that fits your needs.
At Design Me Now + Kitchen Me Now, the goal is simple: get you into a kitchen you love—and still love five, ten, fifteen years from now.
